| GDC Vijaypur celebrates "National Girl Child Day" | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Jan 24: To commemorate the "National Girl Child Day" and in continuation to the sequel of events organized under the banner of " Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", NSS unit (Khidmat) of GDC Vijaypur organized a poster/slogan competition with the aim to promote awareness about the rights of the girl child, importance of girl's education, their health and nutrition, medical care, protection, honor, avoiding child marriage and so many to develop career and overall personality of a girl child. Students from various Institutions across the nation enthusiastically participated in the competition.
In the poster making competition, the first position was shared by Kajal Choudhary and Kavya Charak of B.Com Sem 1st of GDC Vijaypur; second position was shared by Aryan Sharma; Pooja Devi and Jyoti Janjua of B.A Sem 1st of GDC Vijaypur while third position was shared by Roopa Devi and Ruby Devi of B.A Sem 1st and Mansi Sharma of B.A Sem 3rd of GDC Vijaypur. Consolations were awarded to Ashish Chauhan of DCRUST University, Delhi (NCR) and Sanyum Kumar of IITM, Haryana.
In slogan writing competition, first position was secured by Shuvam Mankotia of Dept. of Hindi, Jammu University; second position was shared by Palvi of GCW Gandhinagar and Amandeep of GDC R.S Pura while the third position was secured by Manisha Sangotra of GDC Vijaypur.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. She apprised the students that National Girl Child Day reminds us that it is our responsibility to give them the importance they deserve.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO) and adjudicated by Dr. Shittal Sharma and Prof. Neharika Sharma. E-certificates were awarded to all the winners. |
