| GDC Nagrota celebrates National Girl Child Day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 24: NSS unit of GDC Nagrota organized a video lecture, essay writing, poster making and slogan writing competition on the occasion of National Girl Child Day, under the patronage of the principal Dr Nalini Pathania. The event was celebrated to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year on 24th of January across the country.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr Iqbal Quasim, the convener of the organising committee. A good number of students took part in the event. The event was judged by eminent members of the organising committee on the basis of originality and creativity of the students. In essay writing competition Anjali BIloria clinched first position whereas Ruchika BIloria clinched second position and Asma Choudhary clinched third position. In poster making competition Anjali Sharma scored first position whereas Simran Kundal scored second position whereas Priyanka Kumari of third sem scored third position. All the participants were given certificate of participation. The function culminated with a vote thanks by Dr Harmeet Kour, Assistant Professor in Punjabi. |
