ET Report
JAMMU, Jan 25: Once again separatists have called for a shutdown in Kashmir on the occasion of Republic Day. The practice of calling for a strike on January 26 has been going on since 1990 as separatists believe that by doing so they do a favour to Kashmiris. What an irony! How wrong they are.
Statements calling for a strike start pouring in at least a week before January 26 celebrations. Even the tanzeems which comprise only of three to four people ensure that their statement reaches the news organizations well in advance and gets published. In the hey days of militancy usually the militant outfits used to call for the strike a... | |
