Jammu, Nov 22: Former Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD), Mohammad Choudhary Ramzan has been put under State Accountability Commission (SAC) scanner for his alleged involvement in a wheat grinding scandal, causing huge losses to the State exchequer.
While hearing the case filed by RTI activist Dr. Rehmatullah Khora with SAC, Justice J P Singh issued notice to Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan for responding the complaint and the case has been listed on the Nov 30, 2015.
According to the complaint filed by RTI activist, it has been alleged that during his tenure as CAPD Minister in previous coalition Government, Choudhary Ramzan had clandestinely ordered for issuance of Government order 56-CAPD of 2013, dated 9/9/2013, issued by the then Secretary CAPD department, M. Abass Dar, which reads as, "Sanction is accorded to the issuance of 100 % whole meal Atta (means 100 percent grinding) through Public Distribution System for District of the state, henceforth".

Srinagar, Nov 22: Attempt to sweep BOPEE 2010 entrance exam scam under the carpet by the helmsmen by sabotaging the process of investigations obviously to shield the accused has raised many an eyebrows across the State.
Despite the claims of the Crime Branch made earlier this year, that the investigations into BOPEE 2010 paper leak scam are going on at full pace, there is apparently no major development coming to fore with accused moving scot-free.

JAMMU, Nov 22: As if lagging behind in development was not enough, Jammu and Kashmir has earned another distinction of being 6th state in the country where unique identification project (Aadhaar card) is moving at snail's pace.
State has been ranked 31st among the states where the scheme is being implemented. This ranking is based on number of people who have been either issued the Aadhaar card or who have got themselves registered with Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAI). From the bottom of the table, it is the north-eastern states where the project is going on at much slower pace than Jammu and Kashmir.
