Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 9: BJP national president Amit Shah in his maiden speech as president of the Saffron Party, today vowed to end dynastic role in Jammu and Kashmir. The "magician" BJP president, who has proved his capability to make impossible possible as incharge of Uttar Pradesh in Lok Sabha elections, is hopeful that his party would end dynastic rule in J&K where Abdullah family is dominating political scene. But Amit Shah is not aware that most of the BJP leaders in Jammu and Kashmir are agents of Abdullah family. Instead of opposing Abdullah family, most of the BJP leaders in J&K are protecting interests of Abdullah family so Amit Shah's efforts to end dynastic rule unlikely to yield encouraging results.
The unholy relations between BJP MLAs and Abdullah family were exposed by none other than Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself on June 15 this year.
Omar had exposed undeclared alliance between two parties and his admission that BJP MLAs had voted for coalition candidates in 2009 Rajya Sabha elections and 2011 Legislative Council elections has authenticated allegations that NC coalition regime had purchased BJP MLAs. During the last six years BJP MLAs have never raised any issue pertaining to the problem of general public of Jammu region. BJP MLAs have always sought personal benefits from Chief Minister by sacrificing interests of the people of Jammu region. One thing has also became clear that Omar Abdullah and his father Dr Farooq Abdullah have given undue favour of BJP leaders and MLAs to sabotage interests of the people of Jammu region.
Shah today talking about Jammu and Kashmir, said the Government in the "very sensitive state" had crossed "all limits of corruption" and people want a change. Asking cadres from across the country to focus on the Assembly election in the state that is due later this year, he said, "the state will see development only when BJP Government is formed there." In an apparent reference to Nehru-Gandhi family and Abdullah family, Shah said, "the two families have ensured that money does not reach the poor. We have to highlight this."
