Traffic police organizes debate competition at DPS | | | Early Times Report
Katra, Jan 17: Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police rganized debate competition at Delhi Public School Jammu SMVDU Katra on 26th Traffic Week on Saturday. Traffic Policey organized a debate competition on the topic "Is Time Important than Life", in which students from different classes participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Addressing a gathering at DPS, SMVDU- Katra, chief guest, Deputy S P Traffic Police Reasi and Udhampur Ram Singh said the students and the staff should obey traffic rules to avert any accident on the road. Due to reckless driving of vehicles, accidents are on the rise. The official stressed the need for wearing crash helmets while driving two-wheelers. Passengers, especially students and the staff should avoid travelling in overloaded buses and instruct them for not breaking traffic rules. He also stressed for obtaining proper training from recognized driving institutions before getting a driving license. On the occasion, the prizes were distributed among the winners by the chief guest. Nandita Khajuria of 9th std. won the first prize of Rs. 2000 as cash prize along with memento. Second prize was won by Sucheta Dev of 8th std. with Rs. 1500 as cash prize and memento. |
