Commissioner secretary asks Director Health to explain Illegal appointment of ISM Doctor 1/18/2015 12:10:26 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 17: Taking cognizance of the Early Times news report that the Commissioner Secretary Health is learnt to have sought explanation of Director Health Services Jammu on illegal appointment of an ISM doctor under National Rural Health Mission at Primary Health Centre Bhour Camp in Sohanjana block. Sources in Civil Secretariat told Early Times the Commissioner Secretary Health has sought explanation on the directions of Raj bhavan following publication of a news report in January 13 issue of this newspaper, highlighting the backdoor appointment and alleged harassment of the subordinates for releasing salary of the "illegal appointee." In the explanation letter, sources said that the Director Health B S Pathania has been asked to clarify his position on the issue and immediately inform about status of the appointment of the said doctor as well as allegations of harassments of the subordinate staff. This development has put the Director Health in a tight spot as he has no excuse to justify the appointment made by him without approval of the Health Mission Society. Sources said that the higher authorities have also come to know about some other irregularities, such as execution of works without inviting tenders, in the Directorate of Health Jammu during the past two years. Though no explanation has yet been sought in this regard, sources said that a secret inquiry is being initiated to uncover the nexus between Director Health and a blue eyed contractor, who has been allotted all the works without any tender. Depending upon the gravity of irregularities in allotment of works and huge amount involved in the same, sources said the case may also be referred to Crime Branch or State Vigilance Organization for a through probe.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
