Jammu, Jan 17: A meeting of all concerned officers connected with various preparations for Republic Day was held today, under the chairmanship of Navin Agarwal, Director General of the Department of Youth Services & Sports at M.A. Stadium Jammu.
Various matters pertaining to school contingents taking part in the March Past, Band Contingents, Bharatiyam, Transports arrangements for school children and security arrangements etc. were discussed during the meeting.
The cultural items to be presented on the eve of Republic Day at M.A Stadium, Jammu were also selected from Govt. Girls HSS Canal Road, Presentation Convent Jammu, Govt. Girls HSS Shastri Nagar, Govt. SRML HSS Jammu, Govt. Girls HSS Rehari, Govt. Girls HSS M. Mandi, J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib, Bhartiyam Remix Physical Display and National Anthem.
It was also decided that a Ladies Cultural Programme for house wives and women, entrepreneurs shall be organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports on 27th of January 2015 at Govt. College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Auditorium Jammu.
