Jammu, Jan17 : Retreating demand for early release of pending 17 percent installments of Dearness Allowance (DA) President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri, today urged the State Governor N.N. Vohra to release the same DA installments due from January to July last year.
According to press release, talking to Media persons Shastri said that in view of increasing prices and inflation, the release of DA installments has become more necessary, adding that the budget for the year 2014-15 so there should be no hitch for the State Government in releasing these installments, he said any delay in such matter is also not in the interest of state exchequer, he added. Shastri also expressed his grave concern over inordinate delay in merger of 50 percent DA into basic pay and pension which forms part of the recommendations of the 4th Pay Commission implemented since January Ist 1986. |
