Jammu, Jan17 : Executive committee meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch Jammu was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu.
According to press release, the session started with words of congratulations to Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Ex-Secretary, IRCS, District Branch Jammu on receiving Gold Medal from Hon'ble President of India in recognition to his meritorious and humanitarian services and Merit of Certificate to Subash Chander Bali for voluntary services. In the annual meeting different issues regarding Indian Red Cross Society and its annual activities at district level were discussed. Representatives of CHILDLINE and Home for Mentally Retarded Children, Chhani Rama were also present during the meeting and discussed the problems faced by them. A brief fortnight report on the functioning of Rehan Basera (Night Shelter) being run by the District Administration Jammu in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch Jammu, Jammu Municipal Corporation and International Volunteer Foundation, J&K at Sports Complex, Kanji House, alongwith the list of beneficiaries was also submitted and apprised him the challenges faced by the team. |
