Police solves five burglary cases, 8 arrested 1/18/2015 12:02:17 AM Early Times Report Udhampur, Jan 17 : With the recovery of stolen items and arrest of eight burglers, Udhampur Police have solved five theft cases under the jurisdiction of udhampur police Station. Udhampur police today claimed to have solved five burglaries in the town including one in the famous mosque of the city thereby arresting eight thieves. It also arrested two persons in different attempt to murder cases which took place in the last one week. According to SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary, eight persons were arrested including three minors thereby solving five different cases of burglary and theft in various shops, houses and the theft case at mosque in Adarsh Colony area of the city. He added that a special investigating team (SIT) was constituted headed by DSP HQ Gourav Mahajan and SHO Udhampur Mahesh Sharma thereby leading to recovery of various articles, thousands of rupees cash and one LG mobile and other items. He added that the accused arrested include Khurshid Ahmed Son of Abdul Karim resident of Bai Tehsil Chenani, Mukesh Kumar Son of Om Parkash resident of Kaldi Udhampur, Nazir son of Mohd. Shafi resident of Mansar Udhampur, Babu Ram son of Hans Raj resident Bharat nagar Udhampur, Raman Kumar son of Vijay Kumar resident of Omalla Udhampur , Ajay Singh alias Nanu son of Raj Singh resident of Omalla Udhampur , Ganesh Kumar alias Ganeshu son of Babu Ram resident of Dandyal Udhampur.
