Jammu, Jan 17 : Jammu Kashmir State Rural Livelihoods Mission launched UMEED at block Dansal of Jammu division. In this regard, one day one day workshop cum awareness programme was organised for field staff of Block Development Office which involved Sarpanchs, Village Level Workers, Gram Sevikas, and Multipurpose Workers at Block Development Office Dansal.
During the workshop concerned BDO, Zaffar Altaf, Dansal besides welcoming the mission staff welcomed the inclusion of block Dansal in UMEED. Farooq Ahmed Peer, Mission Director (MD), UMEED briefly highlighted the structure of the schemes. In his address he focused on the significance of inclusion of women in developmental progression.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Manhas, Additional Mission Director (AMD), and UMEED highlighted importance of the scheme with relative examples from other resource blocks of J&K State. |
