Police organizes seminar, rally on Road Safety Week | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 17 : Police Headquarters Jammu today organized a seminar and rally on Road Safety at Miran Sahib in which students of Police Public School Miran Sahib participated besides transporters and drivers of the area. DIG Jammu Samba Kathua, Range Shakeel Ahmed Beig flagged off the rally and said that Range Police Headquarters Jammu today organized seminar and rally on road safety under civic action programme. He said that the main reasons for the fatal road accidents are overloading, over speeding, driving under the influence of drugs/liquor, using of mobile phones and driving unfit vehicles besides driving two wheelers without crash helmet. He said that since the children are future of the nation and helping hands of parents in their old age, inculcation of road sense among them is paramount important to save their precious lives. SSP Traffic Mohan Lal as well as Principal Kiran Raina of Police Public School spoke on the occasion regarding importance of traffic rules. While, Sanjna of Class 9th who adequately spoken on the occasion, Master Abhinandhan Sharma of class 6th and Tabasum of class 6th whose placards were best prepared were given cash prizes by the DIG Jammu on the occasion. Children and guests were served refreshment after the culmination of the Rally. DIG Jammu was accompanied by Rajnish Pran SSP Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range, Mohan Lal SSP Traffic, Randhir Singh, SP Headquarters, Prashotam Sharma Deputy Director Prosecution Jammu, Kiran Raina Principal PPS Miran Sahib, Davinder Singh SDPO RS Pura, Manmohit Sharma Senior Prosecution Officer RPHQ Jammu and others. Among those who were presented on the occasion included prominent citizens, Sarpanches, Transporters participated in the Rally. |
