Udhampur, Jan 17 : A two -day mega placement drive under project UDAAN was inaugurated at Government Degree College Udhampur by Director Colleges , Dept. of Higher Education, J&K Govt.
According to press release, Prof.(Dr.) Tariq Ahmed Kawoos in an impressive function organized in the College Conference Hall. Organized by National Skill Development Corporation said, 450 candidates were registered on the first day of this drive.
In his address Prof. Kawoos expressed satisfaction over the placement initiatives of the college . Principal Prof. S.S. Bhalwal expressed his gratitude to NSDC for choosing his college for this mega event. " It is the first of its kind placement drive in the history of this college and this district as well. I hope to get a good response from the students to be a part of Corporate India. This College is always ready for such initiatives that help the youth of this rural part of the country as a part of our institutional social responsibility." Bint Abbas , Senior Executive from National Skill Development Corporation gave the details of the event. She said that 15 corporate houses would be conducting drives for their respective companies. These include: Accenture, IL&FS, Manpower Group Services, Mount Talent, Pinkerton, Prolific Systems, RAXA Securities, Reliance HR Services, Rooman Technologies, Sahej e- Village, Shristi, FHDL(Furure Learning), IISD and Ligare. |
