Fake job racket busted, kingpin held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 21: Police today busted a fake job racket and arrested the kingpin during raids conducted in Miran Sahib of Jammu district. Police sources have identified the accused as Abdul Majeed of Miran Sahib. They said that after receiving complaints from locals lodged with Police Station Miran Sahib alleging therein that a person Andul Majeed promised them government Job on the pretext of money but they failed to get job despite making payment to him. "Acting on the complaints, police registered a case under FIR 9/15 under sections 420, 506 and 504 of RPC at Police Station Miran Sahib, police sources said. "Taking cognizance in this regard, sources said, further adding that police teams were fanned and they arrested main accused Abdul Majeed. Sources said, "During preliminary questioning of accused it came to light that he used to assure government jobs to gullible innocent villagers aspiring government jobs in Forest Department, Police Department and GREF." Meanwhile further investigation to ascertain the money he had collected from complainants is on.
