PROs, Pvt Secretaries of former Ministers sacked, Adhoc employees terminated

Srinagar, Jan 21: From the day one of Governor Rule in Jammu and Kashmir, employees deployed in Secretariat in the personal sections of Former Ministers have been asked to go back home and keeping in view ongoing financial crises their services have been termed as expired.
According to details, since the imposition of Governor's rule in the State, the government employees belonging to Secretariat service deployed in the Personal Sections of former Ministers have been repatriated and besides all of these employees have been asked to join back in the General Administration Department (GAD) and those belonging to other department have been directed to join their respective departments, their salary for the month of January, 2015 would be drawn only on production of Last Pay Certificates.
According to one official handout in this regard the Ministers of State are entitled to engage private persons to the posts of Additional Pvt. Secretaries and PROs or Additional PROs, purely on contractual basis and now when the Ministers have relinquished their offices, the concerned Departments have been directed that the persons engaged on contractual basis in the Personal Sections of the former Ministers of State shall be paid salary up to 08-01-2015 only and their services shall be deemed to have been terminated from the said date.
Pertinently at a time when Governor NN Vohra today conveyed to union finance Minster, that Jammu and Kashmir state is facing a grave financial crunch in a detailed communication in one letter, Sources said that Governor may send back all such adhoc employees who services were rendered over the years by Ministers in the secretariat in their personal capacity.
According to details after consequently holding several rounds of personal discussions with the State Planning and Finance Secretaries besides holding consultations with the Chief Secretary, Muhammad Iqbal Khanday, the Governor has addressed a detailed letter to the Union Finance Minister regarding the crisis being faced on the financial front and informed the centre about the severe difficulties faced in funding the Annual Plan of the year 2014-15 and has also highlighted reasons of the virtual break down of the State's financial balance.
Keeping in view the prevailing financial crises pertaining to the Governor NN Vohra to run the state, Governor is all set to visit Delhi for a meeting with the Finance Minister to seek help to enable the State Government to tackle the prevailing situation.
