HC rejects bail application of Director Dutta Financers 1/21/2015 10:47:01 PM Early Times Report jammu, Jan 21(JNF): Justice Janak Raj Kotwal of J&K High Court Jammu Wing has rejected the bail application of one Gurbachan Singh Dutta one of the Directors of Dutta Financer. After hearing Sr Advocate Sunil Sethi with Waheed Choudhary appearing for the petitioner whereas Sr Adv SS Lehar with Adv Mehraban Singh appearing for the gullible depositors, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal observed that bail in such a case cannot be granted even on health grounds to escape the legal consequences of the situation arising and old age or poor health in itself is no ground for release on bail unless there is material to suggest that detention may involve a risk to life. According to the case a written complaint was lodged by one Sardar Joginder Singh with P/S Gandhi Nagar, Jammu alleging, therein that a number of depositors of various districts of the state had deposited their hard earned money with "Dutta Financiers" Nanak Nagar, Jammu. In the month of April 2011 when some depositors approached the finance company for payment of interest and even the deposited money for their personal use, the so called -company refused to pay the deposited money to the depositors, the complainant alleged. The Directors of the company namely Gurbachan Singh Dutta and his son Harpal Singh Dutta had been delaying the payment on flimsy grounds although they had a big fleet of Petrol Tankers and Trucks running on Jammu-Leh road and even in Nepal state through the younger son of Gurbachan Singh Dutta namely Amarjeet Singh.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
