DCC deputation calls on Commissioner Secretary PHE 1/21/2015 10:51:57 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 21: A deputation from villages, Topneel, Shamthi, Chill Gagla and Saroh under the banner of District Congress Committee (DCC) Ramban met with Commissioner Secretary PHE/IFC Dr Pawan Kotwal and appraised about the problems. According to press release, senior Congress leader Shakeel Singh Bhagat highlighted problems about safe drinking water in the light of the water supply scheme Sooni Nallah to Top Neel Chill-Ggla which has been turned defunct after partially functioning. He also said the same scheme was taken up in hand by the PHE division Doda 12 years back but has turned defunct due to the reasons best known to the authorities concerned putting the population to trouble in the context. He also highlighted the plight of the people of Ramban, who are forced to drink water supplied by the PHE department without filter plant.
