Fire & Emergency ‘mock drill’ concludes in ‘NITL’ Udhampur 1/21/2015 11:04:56 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Jan 21: National level Fire & Emergency drill was concluded in the premises of ‘NITL’ Hr. Sec. School. Udhampur. The J & K Fire & Emergency Services Command Udhampur conducted this National level programme under the guidance of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. In this programme students of High & Higher standard were divided into Awareness complain team, Fire alarm team Evacuation team Search & Rescue team , Fire fighting team & First aid team by B.L.Choudhari I/c Fire Station Udhampur . A school Fire Management Committee was also constituted. All the students were trained by the Fire man Kuldeep Singh, Mohinder Singh , Brij Raj Singh etc. On the occasion a drill was organized by the students under the supervision of P.K.Bhat Asstt. Director Fire & Emergency Services Command Udhampur / Reasi & Ajay Gupta Principal of the host school. To make this programme effective the Ambulance, stretcher & first Aid material was provided by the Department of Civil Defence. P .K.Bhat briefed the students that the main objective & aim of conducting such type of programme is to create fire & safety awareness among the students & staff. He also said these techniques can be used in case of any disaster.
