Shia Muslims stage protest against publishing of caricature of holy prophet 1/21/2015 11:09:16 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 21: Shia Muslims today staged protest demonstration against publishing of caricature of holy prophet here infront of Press Club. Addressing media persons, Professor Shujat Khan said that all the Shia Muslim organizations of Jammu in connection with the recent publication of caricature of Holy Prophet in one French Magazine Charles Hebdo which has been then telecasted by different channels in India also. They described this act as a worst and shameful for showing disrespect to such a holy personality. He further said that without having the knowledge of any religion we should not screen or published this kind of disrespect to any religion especially Islam a religion of truth and peace. "In India there are people belonging to different faiths and belief, it really hurts when we target a religion without knowing about the facts of that religion. It is our submission to the press council of India that a check should be made on this kind of channels who try to disturb the religious faith of any religion", Khan said and adding that these kind of channels should be banned and their licensed should be cancelled.
