JAMMU, Feb 11: Zorawar Club won the inaugural match of the Jammu District Senior men's Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today. In this one-sided contest, Zorawar Club blanked Sittu Club 4-0. Anoop Singh (7th), Harsh Vaid (15th), Shivay Vaid (28th) and Mukesh Pandey (40th) were the scorers. Meanwhile, in another scheduled match of the day, Young Star Simbal Camp outplayed Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club 3-1. Prabjyot Singh struck twice sounding the board in the 10th and 40th minute while Inderjeet Singh netted the ball in the 15th minute. From Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club, the only goal scored by Manvir Singh in the 29th minute. Today's matches conducted by the technical penal including Joginder Singh, Karanjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, Jagjit Singh, Ravinder Singh, Tajinder Singh, MS Reen and GS Bakshi. Earlier, the championship was declared open by general secretary of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, Romal Singh. Also present were Rajinder Singh, Charanjit Singh, Tajinder Singh, Sukhjinder Singh and Sukhbir Singh.
FIXTURE: Singh Club Bandu Rakh shall take on Veteran XI while Hiranagar Club shall be playing against Maharaja Ranjit Singh Club. |
