JAMMU, Feb 11: Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab celebrated the Green Day by taking young students to Wild Life Park at Manda, here today. Students were also involved in quiz competition based on animals. Clad in green attires, these tiny tots watched their animal friends so close to their habitats. Earlier, soon after group entered the park, animal blessing was held by both the teachers and students. Later, students were shown different species of animals at the zoo and were informed about their lifestyle and eating habits by the teachers. Meanwhile, students were also informed about the kinds of animals like pet animals, wild animals and farm animals. They were told that they should love nature and should try to conserve it. Students were encouraged to plant more trees and save animals by being vegetarian and staying away from their natural habitats. They were made to enjoy being in nature so that they could love the mother nature and realize how beautiful is the wildlife. Meanwhile, a quiz competition was also organized in the zoo and where were put to test asking them questions related to animals. Later, prizes were given to the winners of the competition.
