Jammu, Feb 11: An absconder evading his arrest since 2010 was arrested by the police from his hideout in Punjab on Wednesday.
Police sources said, "The accused has been identified namely as Harmesh Ram s/o Hazara Lal of village Sarangwal, Hoshiyarpur."
As per police sources, based on the reliable inputs, a police team led by SHO Jajjar Kotli Hilal Azhar from Jammu was dispatched to the Punjab to secure his arrest.
"The alleged accused, was involved in case registered against FIR No 92/2010 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act and has been absconding for over last four years, police sources said.
Sources said after securing his arrest police produced the accused before the court which sent accused to judicial custody for 15 days. |
