MENDHAR, Feb 11: Department of Arabic in collaboration with the Department of Persian Government Degree College Mendhar organized a seminar on 'Islamic etiquettes and Human values and their significance in the contemporary world'. The students at large attended the function and spoke on various themes of the seminar including status of women, Purdah: the guardian of woman's modesty, Islamic etiquettes, Position of parents in Islam etc. The proceedings on the stage were conducted by Dr.Firdous Nazir (HoD Arabic) .He emphasized on the need to develop the spirit of humanism, morality, tolerance and fellow feelings to ensure a happy and peace-oriented society. Principal of the College Prof. Shabir Hussain Shah along with Prof Ab. Rauf (HoD Mathematics PG College Rajouri) attended the function and added grandeur to the seminar. Principal said when the apostasy is rampant, moral bankruptcy is widespread and mankind has become slave to its desires and blind after the petty material pursuits, religion has become a sideline and lost its paramount significance, the protection and safeguard of religion and religious ethos has become a challenge. |
