Jammu, Feb 11: Two pilots were feared killed late evening on Wednesday when an Indian army's Dhruv helicopter during a training sortie got crashed in Bandipore district of Kashmir division. "Both pilot and co-pilot were feared to be killed in the fatal crash on Wednesday evening when an army helicopter was on routine training sortie when it crashed in the fields," defence sources said. Sources said, "The wreckage of the crashed helicopter was located by some local villagers in the area. "However on receiving information from locals, the rescue teams from the nearby army unit were rushed to the spot to shift survivor to the nearby hospital if any, they added. "Meanwhile army authorities are ascertaining the circumstances leading to the crash if it was technical snag or a human error or other eventuality, sources said, and hinted, "an court of inquiry might be initiated in this regard." |
