DB issues directives PIL regarding relief to flood victims of Jammu Division 2/24/2015 11:20:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 24 : In a Public Interest Litigation filed by two practicing Advocates namely Ajay Bakshi and Tariq Rasool wani highlighting the inaction of the Government to deal with the situation caused by the unprecedented floods in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, especially in Jammu region, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Advocate Sachin Dogra for the PIL whereas Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra for the state observed that Adv Sachin Dogra appearing for the petitioners submits that even though some relief has been paid under SDRF but nothing has been paid under Prime Minister Relief Fund.Division Bench further observed that Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra State counsel seeks time to get instructions to ascertain as to whether the amount has been received from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund by the State and as and when the relief is received the same will be disbursed to the victims and the same is granted.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
