kathua, Mar 19: One day financial inclusion programme organised at Marta Nagrota village by National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) to sensitize villagers, panchayat members on financial inclusion, DEDS, KCC and encouraging development through banking. According to press release, the main participants were Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, K L Sharma, Area Manager, JKGB, Kathua, Sansar Chand, FLCC coordinator, officers of JKGB, panchayat members and villagers of Marta Nagrota. DDM, NABARD asked all the panches & sapranches to open account of every household in their villages. He explained the new KCC scheme, which is designed to provide flexible and hassle free credit to farmers. He further informed that under DEDS subsidy is available for SC beneficiaries for the FY 2014-15. K L Sharma, LDM, Kathua interacted with panches / sapranches and informed them that the banks are there for lending to the masses and they should use loans for self-development. He asked all the members to keep micro deposits with bank & go in for dairy as an activity which will earn them income etc. He said that any type of loan needed by entrepreneur will be provided by JKGB and new branch has been opened for this purpose in this area. KCC cards, GCC cards, limits were disbursed on the spot. |
