On what ground NC legislators staged walk out from LA? | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 19: The walkout of the National Conference (NC) Legislators from the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today while protesting against the government's decision of revoking re-employment of the employees was hard to believe since NC-Congress regime never took care of the issues of the employees. The dual face of National Conference MLAs who were led by MLA Nagrota, Davinder Singh Rana who walked out from the house of legislators after raising the issues of employees in the zero hour can be well gauged from the fact that the previous government led by then CM and now President of the party Omar Abdullah never paid any heed towards the prolonged agitation of selected Jail Warden Candidates who were demanding the release of selection list of 1247 candidates through agitations for the last over four years. Pertinently their protest continued for more than three months period in NC government after 1247 candidates who were shortlisted for the interview, which was held in September 2010 were awaiting the release of the selection list of the candidates but their protest never met any end as the deaf ears of then government were not ready to listen to their genuine demands. Similarly repeated protests by Rehbar-e-Talim (ReT) teachers across the state never got attention of the previous government though they were also demanding the release of their salaries which is also a genuine demand. Against this, the move of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed government is aimed at maintaining transparency and credibility in the administration where he noticed mess due to mismanagement, widespread corruption and favouritism promoted by the previous government that engaged thousands of employees without following the set legal procedure. So the today's advocates of employee issues should not forget that they were the wrongdoers of yesterday against which Mufti had to issue an order few days back. |
