Training cum awareness camp on fisheries held 3/19/2015 10:49:52 PM Early Times Report REASI, Mar 19: Department of Fisheries Reasi in collaboration with Regional Fish Farmers Agency, Jammu organized a training-cum -awareness camp here at Mahseer Fish Farm Anji, Reasi for the fish farmers and general public. On the occasion, Assistant Director Fisheries Bharat Bhusan, advised the farmers to avail maximum benefit from the awareness camp. "This would help you to boost fish production in the district and improve your socio-economic status," Bhusan said. He also highlighted requirements for establishing fish rearing units. Project Officer, Regional Fish Farmers Development Agency-Bodh Raj while speaking on the occasion said, "Fish farming can generate lot of employment opportunities and has high potential for uplifting the rural economy". During the camp threadbare interaction with fish farmers regarding fish farming and related activities and the problem were also discussed. The progressive farmers also shared their experience/ problem being faced by them during the farming.
