Led by Vaneeta Sharma, Panch W-4, Hamirpur the protestors criticized the development policies of the department. Addressing the protestors the Panch Vaneeta Sharma said that department asked the villagers to construct flash-bathrooms under Swachch Bharat Mission scheme meant for poor people belonging to SC/OBC/ST/ BPL. She said department ensured to pay Rs 6000/- in mid of the work and remaining second installment of Rs 6000/- will be given after completion of the construct works.
After the assurance of the department people started construction works and completed their half works. She added that when people approached to the BDO Barnoti for receiving half payment but astonishingly their names were not enlisted in beneficiaries' list that shocked dozens of villagers who completed their half work. The protesters demanded justice and demanded inquiry in the matter.
To its sharp contrast Suninderjeet Kour, KAS, BDO Barnoti, denies all allegations leveled on the department and maintained that SBM scheme is online procedure and anyone can check the list of beneficiaries. BDO said the payment will be given through Government Treasury so there will be no scope of any such scandals. She appealed all to read SBM online guideline to clarify their doubts.
