GDS Union continues its indefinite strike on 10th day | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Mar 19: The ongoing indefinite strike called by All India Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Union has entered into tenth consecutive day. The strike was called in support of long pending demands of the Dak Sevaks which yet has not conceded to. Union members abstaining from their work continued their protest demonstration outside the Head Post Office Udhampur. Meantime Yog Raj Sharma Circle Secretary (AIGDSU) who led the protest addressing the protestors said reiterated that all benefits shall be granted to GDS employees as per with departmental permanents employees and a judicial committee shall also be appointed to examine the wage structure and service conditions of GDS employees. He said that All India Gramin Dak Sevak member 2, 76000, are facing problems due to anti-employee attitude of Postal Department including denial of 7th Pay commission. Udhampur District President Proshtam Lal, Bal Krishan, Rakesh Kumar, Khem Raj, Girdhri Lal and Smt Chanchla Devi and other union members were also present on the occasion. |
