YHAI for making J&K model state in adventure activities | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 19 : A meeting of State Council of Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) was held under the chairmanship of M.S. Pandit IAS (Rtd) National President YHAI at Hotel Jammu Ashok Jammu. Pandit said that he wanted to make the J&K State Branch a model branch in adventure activities. He added that youth activities are at fore front in India during the changed scenario. He said that National Head office of YHAI has taken up the matter of activity programme with the directorate of tourism and with renewed efforts we can do good things. Earlier Padamshree Er. S.P. Varma Chairman YHAI J&K State welcomed Pandit by presenting buckeye. While presenting the activity report State Secretary Dr. Taran Singh informed that J&K State branch have started 4 new licensee youth hostels at Jammu, Sanasar, Mantalai and Udhampur. During National Heritage Trek Expedition organized last year 173 members participated from all over the India. |
