Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 19 : A Table Tennis Tournament was inaugurated today by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, IPS at Stag Table Tennis Academy Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu, being organized by J&K Police, District Jammu under Civic Action Programme (CAP) in presence of distinguished guests and hundreds of sports loving persons, respectable citizens, and was aimed to bridge the gap between Police & Public and will conclude on 22/03/2015 at 1600 hours (Sunday). S.Randheer Singh, SP Hqrs. Jammu deliberated on the aim and objective of tournament highlighted the importance of sports in the physical and mental development of the youths. He maintained that J&K Police is contributing overwhelmingly towards promotion of sports and in this direction is providing opportunities in various sports competitions, in enhancing the sportsmanship, stamina, courage, comrade, leadership qualities and above all make youths good citizens, and to stay away from drugs. The dignitaries and general public appreciated the gesture of J&K Police for this positive development and were thankful to J&K Police in organizing various sports events in District Jammu thereby providing a competitive platform for the budding players to showcase their talent and sensitize them against the evil effects of the drugs and other criminal activities. The CAP activities in this area were undertaken under the guidance of J&K Police Headquarters under overall supervision of IGP Jammu Zone Jammu, DIG Jammu and SSP Jammu, SP Hqrs Jammu. Among other dignitaries S.Davinder Singh, SDPO R.S.Pura, S.
