Rationalization of VAT on CSD goods hailed 3/24/2015 9:31:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 24: JK Peoples Democratic Ex-Servicemen Wing (JKPDESW) today hailed rationalization of VAT on CSD good. Addressing a press conference here today, State President JKPDESW, Captain Anil Gour and Brigadier Anil Gupta, State President, BJP Ex-Servicemen Wing along with Captain MS Reen and paid homage to the brave police personnel and innocent civilians who lost their lives in the cowardly attack of the militants in Kathua. Later they welcomed the recent budget announcement of Haseeb Darubu, Finance Minister wherein he has announced that the VAT being levied on CSD goods within the state will be rationalized to the levels as that being levied in the neighboring states of Himachal, Punjab and Rajasthan. This is the fulfillment of the promise of both PDP and BJP in the recent elections & the entire Ex-Servicemen community in the J&K State welcomed this announcement and thanked Mufti Mohd Sayeed, CM and his entire cabinet for fulfilling this long pending demand of the Ex-Servicemen community. With regards to the other demands of the Ex-Servicemen viz, the reservation in re-employment of Ex-servicemen in J&K Government departments to be restored to the 15% as was earlier prevalent.
