Kathua, Mar 24: District Information Centre, Kathua organized a multilingual Mushiara at Rajiv Gandhi College of Education. Additional District development Commissioner Kathua Er. Narinder Singh Bali was the chief guest, while Superintendent District Hospital Kathua Dr. Rajinder Kumar was the guest of honour on the occasion. Chairman of the college Pankaj Dogra, Principal of the college Dr. G P Sachdev, staff and large number of students were present on the occasion. Principal of the college welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries. The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries. The poets recited their ghazals and poems in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Dogri languages. Prominent among the poets who recited their writings included Santosh Dhiman, Renu Padha, Hajoora Singh, Kuldeep Kippi, Chandu Bhau, R S Katal. While speaking on the occasion, ADDC Kathua said that poets play an important role in awaring the masses about the various social evils, they guide the society in the direction leading to unity, peace and harmony. He appreciated the efforts on information department for organizing the musharia with which the students of the college got awared about the various social issues.
