Ex MLC express concern over removal of army from higher reaches 3/24/2015 11:47:39 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Mar 24: Former Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Subash Chander Gupta today expressed concern over the withdrawal of military/ Para military forces from higher reaches of Bani area of Kathua district. Gupta said that the recent rise in militancy related incident in Kathua and Samba district in which innocent citizens along with security persons have lost their lives and many others got injured clearly defy the logic of withdrawal of Military/Para Military forces. In view of the past militancy related incidents the Army and paramilitary forces along with Police was deployed in the far flung and hilly areas of Sarthal, Lowang and Dhagar of Tehsil Bani and their deployment proved very helpful in containing such incidents of militancy, he added. Gupta supported the genuine demand of the public of Bani against the withdrawal of Army/Para military forces from Bani area.
