Poonch, May 13: Danesh Rana - IPS, IGP Jammu Zone accompanied by Ashok Kumar Attri - IPS, DIG R-P Range conducted tour of District Poonch and during his tour the IGP Jammu Zone inaugurated 'Police Reception Centre (PRC)' at ISO certified Police Station Poonch
"The IGP also inaugurated day long medical camp at DPL Poonch in which 278 police personnel got medically checked through a team of doctors from District Hospital Poonch on the initiative of SSP Poonch and CMO Poonch, police spokesperson said.
IGP Jammu also chaired a meeting of Police personnel at DPL Poonch and listened to various issues projected by the police personnel which include regularization and enhancement of honorarium of SPOs, quota in police recruitment for the ward of serving /retired police personnel and other welfare related issues etc. While speaking on the occasion the IGP complimented the good work done by Police personnel of District Poonch in handling various law & order issues, anti-militancy front and rescue / evacuation of the civilians trapped near the river / slide prone areas during recent flash floods . IGP also impressed upon the police personnel to work with sincerity and dedication and maintain good police-public relations.
AK Atri - DIG RP Range also spoke on the occasion and discussed various issues related to the welfare of police personnel etc . Earlier in his welcome address SSP Poonch S Jatinder Singh Johar highlighted the achievements of District Police Poonch on crime, law & order, anti-militancy, relief, rescue / evacuation of civilians trapped near the river/slide prone areas during recent flash floods. He also hailed the IGP for the visit in the border district of Poonch.
The IGP alongwith other police officers also held interaction with prominent citizens at Dak Bungalow Poonch. The citizens complemented the IGP for his ideas regarding people friendly policing and drive against anti-social and criminal elements in the society.
ASP Poonch Amit Gupta, DySP Hqrs Mujeeb-Ul-Rehman, SDPO Mendhar Surinder Kumar, DySP (Ops) Sheezan Bhat, DySP CDB, Sagar Singh Slathia, DySP Surankote, Reyaz Tantray, NGOs and other ranks were also present on the occasion. |
