A total of five candidates had applied for the post and all the candidates were invited for the interview during the tenure of former Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof Mohan Pal Singh Isher. As per details given in the RTI, the education qualifications of the candidates who appeared in the interview were Dr Sumit Koul having qualification of M. Sc (Statistics), M.Phil, Ph.D with 77.16% marks at PG level, Dr Sandeep Singh Charak having qualification MA (Statistics) , PGDCA, Ph.D with 66.71% marks, Manpreet Kour M.Sc (Statistics), B.Ed with 76% marks, Dr Vikas Sharma having qualification MA (Statistics), Ph. Sources alleged that Vikas Sharma managed to get himself selected for the post of lecturer due to his close proximity with former Vice Chancellor Prof Isher. They further alleged that Vikas Sharma had helped Prof Isher in many ways during his tenure for not raising voices against VC by any organization which used to raise student related issues. Earlier, Vikas Sharma had also used the same modus operandi of protest against the varsity administration through various students' organization to get proximity of Prof Isher, sources alleged. Incumbent Vice Chancellor, Prof. RD Sharma was yet to take action against the wrong doings committed by former VC Professor Isher. |
