Jammu, May 13: Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing today celebrates Nurses week here at college premises.
According to press release, the celebration was held in the memory of Florence Nightingale for her lasting contribution and role in founding the modern nursing profession.
During the occasion, various cultural competitions such as dances and other activities and sports competitions such as different races, volleyball, badminton, shot-put, and indoor items such as Chess, Carom were also conducted.
The event was officially flagged off by Johny Kutty Joseph, Vice Principal of the college.
He further said that the international Nurses Day was celebrated with an official gathering in the campus in which MS Katoch, Chairman, Kawa Group was the Chief Guest. Dr. Anita Bali, Principal, Kawa College of Education, Anjana Bavouria, CEO, Kawa Group, Johny Kutty Joseph, Vice Principal, Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing were present in the occasion. |
