Jammu, May 13: A Workshop cum awareness programme was organized by AASH Foundation at Nardani village, Kot Bhalwal area of Jammu. The AASH Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered under the Societies of Registration Act (Registration No. JRS-822 of 2014 dated 24-1-2014), involving eminent citizens, scholars, doctors, scientists, social activists of the society. The main objective of the awareness programme at Nardani village was to Rehabilitate and educate children, women & youth for receiving their vocational trainings, environment and health care to make them dignified citizens of the society. Members of the AASH Foundation Dr R.L. Dhar ( General Secretary of AASH Foundation) and Seema Mattoo (Media Secretary AASH foundation) delivered lectures to women and girls appraising them, of their rights to a dignified living and conducted survey on girl education and dropout ratio in the rural areas, promised to give scholarships to the dropout children who wish to pursue their studies, assured the people on setting up of vocational skill development centers, starting vocational courses and a computer center in that very area which would be taken up in the near future for upliftment of the socially backward people of the area. |
