Jammu, May 13: The three days course on "crime against women", organized in Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur concluded today. According to press release, 14 police officers of the rank of ASI to Inspectors nominated by PHQ participated. The basic objective behind the course was to sensitize the police officers about the various issues so related to topic as the problem of violence and atrocities against women is violation of human rights and a form of discrimination against women which includes all acts of gender based violence. The course was designed under the able supervision of Director SKPA Udhampur. Rajesh Kumar, IGP. The inaugural address was delivered by major Nasreen Khan (retd.) who also delivered a valuable lecture on the assigned topic. The other guest speakers who delivered lectures and contributed a lot in the said course were Madam Sargun Shukla, IPS, ASP, SDPO Nowshera, Dr. Gurpreet Kour and Prof. Sudhir Singh of Govt. Degree College, Udhampur. |
