Jammu, May 13: Bhartiya Kala Sangam (BKS) today has launched 3 days long Folk Songs/Folk Dances programmes. According to press release, during programme a seminar which are designed to safeguard and impart training about Folk dances/folk music of Jammu in which three papers were presented by Dr. Om Goswami, Mohan Singh and Sat Pal , renowned literary figures of the State. The programme has been supported by Sangeet Natal; Academy, New Delhi. On this occasion, Dr. A.S.Amn, Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy was the Chief Guest where Sujanya Sharma, KAS Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Jammu presided over the function. Besides, Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan, Jammu, Aditi Sharma President, Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust, Jammu were the Guest of Honours. Sohail Kazmi, Ramesh Siingh Chib, were also present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.S.Amn, Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of Bhartiya Kala Sangam for promoting Folk Songs/Folk Dances of Dogra Culture highlighting the background of Dogra Culture through the media of paper reading by renowned Literary personalities, which are of great value and thought-provoking for the audience present in the hall. He assured full support to the team of Bartiya Kala Sangam in endeavour to develop and promote Dogra culture. Sujanya Sharma, Commissioner Muncipal Corporation, Jammu expressed his deep satisfaction over the efforts of Bhartiya Kala Sangam for organizing such type of programmes which can encourage the younger generation to feel a sense of belongiong towards the Dogri language. Vote of thanks was presented by T.R.Sharma, Chirman Bhartiya Kala Sangam whereas the function was anchored by Rajni Sharma, renowned anchor of the state. |
