Rajouri, May 13: In a drive against the absconders, drug peddlers, bovine smugglers and other anti social elements, Rajouri police today arrested absconder after four years from Kotranka of Rajouri district.
Giving details senior police officer said that the accused identified as Balbir Singh s/o Balwant Singh resident of Mogla in Kalakote tehsil was wanted in a case registered at Police Station Kotranka in the year 2012.
"Based on specific input of his movement in the area under their jurisdiction, police officer said adding, "Police from Police Station Kandi rushed to hideout and arrested the absconder after 4 years of offence.
"The accused was booked under sections 279 (rash driving), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life) & 304-A (causing death by negligence ) RPC in FIR No50/2012 and since then was absconding, police officer said. |
