7-day training for ASHA workers commences | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 13: A seven days long innovative and educative training for ASHA workers commenced at District Hospital Kathua. Chief Medical Officer Dr Basant Kumar informed about the programme and said the HBNC round 1st of Module 6th & 7th of District Kathua and Samba began today where female ASHA workers hailing from hilly areas of District Kathua would be trained to look after Pregnant women and new born baby till 6 months of the birth. The programme was organized by NHM District Health Society Kathua that would continue till May 19. Resource persons from state and outside the state will deliver guest lecturers and train the workers about providing medical assistance to people hailing from remotest areas of Tehsil Billawar, Bani, Basohli etc. While addressing to ASHA workers Dr Chitra Vaishnavi, DIAO Kathua, Dr Sunil Sharma, Dr Anoop Manhas Superintendent District Hospital Kathua, Dr Basant Kumar CMO Kathua besides Dr Kartar Verma District Coordinator ASHA highlighted several problems that can be faced by ASHA workers during providing medical assistance to pregnant women then new born babies. They formulated several remedial measures and asked to offer assistance voluntarily to people in need. Dr Basant CMO several sessions shall be organized in 7 days long programme where through knowledge about medical assistance will be given to facilitators with the aim to reach at door step of every citizen. |
