Jammu, May 13: Various organizations including PHE, PWD, PDD, Tourism, Forest, Agriculture, PMGSY and many other departments under the banner of United Front today protested in favour of various demands outside Press Club Jammu.
Chairman, United Front, Tanveer Hussain addressed the rally in extraordinary situations of anguish and pain meted out by the previous state Govt, by making false promises for regularization of around 61,000 casual labors working various departments.
He said numbers of committees and subcommittees were framed by the government to resolve long pending issues & demands, but the files only gathered dust in previous government.
He further added that the new coalition government formed only high power committee for the budget and there are no provisions for the welfare and neither any step taken in order to meet interests of the employees.
"No money or funds have been sanctioned for the regularization and wages of the daily wagers and CP Workers. Moreover there is no increase in the daily wage given to the casual labor & neither there is any promise to do the same", he said.
The Association workers gave a dead line to the government to amicably solve their issues before May 20, 2015 failing which all the workers of the organization will completely shut down their work (Kaam Chodo Hartal) in both Jammu as well as Kashmir Region. |
