Early Times Report Jammu, May 13: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu celebrated the 104th Birth Anniversary of Lt. Dev Dutt Mengi, founder Principal of Shiksha Niketan Establishment. The birthday was celebrated with zeal and fanfare here today wherein ex-Minister, Raman Bhalla and Swami ji of Hridyadeep Ashram were present as Chief Guest. The whole Mengi family was present in the institution along with the teachers and the students of various wings, members of R.M Charitable trust, R.M E.T.T, R.M Public School and media persons. The school building was decorated with flowers, buntings, balloons and a Hawan was performed as a ritual. After Hawan, various cultural items of different wings were performed on the theme 'Adult Education'. The various cultural items include Belly dance, a performance on a song, a skit and a beautiful Vandana by little toddlers. Rameshwar Mengi, the Principal of Shiksha Niketan paid rich homage to the founder Dev Dutt Mengi by laying floral wreath at his portrait. Speaking on the occasion, Rameshwar Mengi also highlighted the achievements and contribution of Dev Dutt Mengi. After that the school magazine 'BAGISHA' was released by Chief Guest and other dignitaries on the occasion. |
