Father booked for concealing birth 6/1/2015 12:22:49 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, May 31:Police today registered a case of concealing birth by secret disposal of dead body under section 318 of RPC against a man in police post SMGS. Hospital Police sources said that today in the morning some staff members noticed a baby in a nullah behind SMGS hospital and accordingly informed the police. After getting the information police reached the spot and recovered body of a female newly born baby which was later sent to the mortuary of hospital. In-charge police post SMGS Arun Bhagat said that due to tag which was tied into the arm of the baby they identified the parents of the baby. Police identified the father of the deceased as Basher Ahmed of Keshwan Kishtwar. Police said that during preliminary investigation it came to light that wife of Basher Ahmed delivered a female baby who died during delivery.
