| Casual, Need Base employees of PWD (R&B) stage protest | | |

Rajouri, June 5: Casual, Need Base and ITI trained workers associated with PWD (R&B) held a protest demonstration taking black flag here at Rajouri demanding release of their 15 month salary and regularization of their services.
These workers are on indefinite strike for the last 20 days and took out a protest rally from PWD Dak Bunglow to the office of Deputy Commissioner raising slogans against district administration and PWD (R&B) officials.
The protest was held under the banner of PWD(R&B) Casual/Need Base Workers Union (PWDCNWU) and the employees have been demanding creation of special head for paying regular wages, release of pending wages, formulation of concrete policy for regularization of their services including that of ITI trained workers. "Poor casual laborers/need base workers/ITI trained workers have given precious years of their life for the department but officials concerned didn't bother to mitigate their problems and in the absence of wages these poor laborers facing many difficulties in meeting their daily expenses" said Sonika Kumari & Mohd Riaz Mughal |
