FLOUTING GUV ORDER: Nonchalance by teacher, dereliction by officer | | | Ajay Sharma
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 5: In another instance of flouting norms, an education department employee enjoys the privilege of getting his posting prized in a department of his choice while ignoring his parent place of posting. The state of Jammu and Kashmir under the recent president's rule before the formation of BJP-PDP coalition had come up with a directive from the Governor N N Vohra to detach all the teachers from their places of postings and retrieving them back all to their earlier position. Though the directive was put in place by the then administration, but one Badshah Husain, originally, a teacher by profession and executing his duties at Middle School Upper Hatthal, District Rajouri and Tehsil Sunderbani and attached at AG Office Jammu who too had got the order for relieve, but ignored the call and remained posted at Jammu. The breach of the stipulation of the Governor order by Badshah Husain is being looked upon as a daring decision taken by him on whom even no administrative concern was shown. Hussain was attached to AG office in 2010 and still enjoying his privileged position in the department while the column of attendance marked in the school register at Middle School Upper Hatthal shows him 'attached to AG Office'. Chief Education Officer Rajouri, A H Fani did not cared to attend nearly 20 calls made to him by Early Times reporter who later had to resort to take up the issue with Education Minister Naeem Akhtar. "This is sheer negligence on the part of the department, if such thing is happening despite given the order for relive and detachment. I will personnel look into the matter," said Education Minister Naeem Akhtar assuring that officer on the dereliction of the duty would be taken to task severely and necessary action initiated against them. |
