JTC demands satellite townships for KP migrants in Valley | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 5: Demanding establishment of satellite townships near Srinagar City for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community along with proper reservation in State Legislature as well as Parliament of India, the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K said that the KP community has suffered a lot during 26 years of migration and the time has come to end their miseries. In a joint meeting of JTC and SKF held here today under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita, several other issues and problems being confronted by the general masses of community were discussed in detail. While speaking in the meeting Pandita said that the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders during election campaign had assured good governance by curbing corruption and exerting check on the price rise of essential commodities to give relief to the general masses but all these commitments seem to be false as nothing on ground has been seen as the prices of essential commodities have gone sky high besides corruption and crime is prevailing in which has made the lives of the masses miserable. Pandita said that BJP is befooling the general masses as during elections issues of Ram Janambhumi and Art. 370 are being raised but in actual nothing in this regard has been done nor BJP is interested to fulfill their commitments. He further said that during elections BJP leaders had assured curbing militancy and befitting reply to Pakistan but the militancy has not been uprooted but has increased and the antinational elements are active in Kashmir valley which is proved by hoisting and waving Pakistani flags and destroy Mobile Tower in Kashmir recently. He said that militancy in Kashmir valley is on rise as recently the militants have killed Army personnel and managed to sneak into the territory of India, this clears the stand of BJP that this party is not interested in fulfilling its commitment to mitigate the suffering of the general masses. |
